Do you help me set it up?
Yes, free, on every plan including the $2.99 one. Book a session and a real person connects your domain, imports your existing mail, sets up your mailboxes and team, and helps you build your first newsletter. There is no setup fee and no paid onboarding tier.
Do I pay per mailbox?
No. You pay for people (members) and resources, never for addresses. Every plan includes at least one mailbox per domain, and shared addresses like sales@ or support@ never cost a seat. Per-seat suites charge $6-7/month for every one of those.
What if I only need more of one thing?
Add a pack. Extra marketing volume, domains, e-signatures, storage and members are all available on any plan as monthly add-ons, so you never upgrade a whole tier for one dimension.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Connect any domain with guided DNS, or one-click setup if you use Cloudflare. Sending is white-labeled on every plan: your customers see your domain, not ours.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, every plan starts with a 7-day free trial through Stripe, one per customer. A card is required to start it, you are not charged until the trial ends, and cancelling before then costs nothing.
Can I migrate from another provider?
Yes, and it takes minutes with no downtime. Import your existing mail over IMAP from Gmail, Google Workspace, Outlook or any host, folders and all, while your old inbox keeps working until you flip your DNS. Keep your address.
Do you guarantee uptime?
Yes. We stand behind a 100% uptime SLA on the core service, backed by service credits if we fall short. Uptime is published live and monitored from inside and outside our cloud at status.mailstrap.com.
How is my data secured?
Encrypted in transit with TLS and at rest with AES-256, with passkeys, two-factor authentication, audit logs, and per-tenant isolation. We run our own mail servers, so no third party reads your mail. A DPA and subprocessor list are available for GDPR.
Do I still need DocuSign?
No. E-signatures are built into every plan, with monthly allowances on Solo and Business and unlimited on Business Pro and up. Send an agreement, each signer gets a secure link, and we keep the audit trail.
How do AI credits work?
Business plans and up include monthly AI credits: a thread summary costs 1 credit, a drafted reply costs 2. Or connect your own Anthropic or OpenAI key in Settings for unlimited AI on any plan, billed to your provider account. AI unlocks when your trial converts to a paid plan.
